I. Love. Oregon. love. love. love. love. love.
I was fortunate enough after a fight or two at work to get this week off to enjoy the most lovely state in all the union.
yes it was a little (lot) rainy.
but we took the rain and were rather amazing in it, although it ruined a pair of my shoes...
sorry the photos are end to beginning, i am too lazy to switch them up...

just before the sun went down. i could have stood and watched the waves crash seriously all day.
the most beautiful cove. wow. it was so gorgeous, people say that the gooney's and some other movies/shows were filmed here and after being there there is not a doubt in my mind that i would like to move right into this tree on the left.
we almost missed this sunset because awww schucks we were on a walk on the beach that lasted a little longer than planned. but to no avail, we made it just in time and it was so worth it. such a lovely sight.
just the first thing i saw after me and dan ran down the path. i had to stop to take a photo. this lighthouse may be small but it is so perfect.
from the before mentioned walk. the water looks warm enough to play in, but dont worry it will freeze your toes off.
at the beginning of our beach walk/middle of the dike hike we ran into the coolest post that people put buoys, large shells, ropes, fishing nets, etc. it just fit right in there
the beginning of the sunny day. dan would not ever let me take photos of him. but this was our little cape meares beach. the cutie complete with tide pools and waterfalls. and home of the "gumbi" rock
our beachhouse. the best part about it was waking up in the morning and pulling all the blinds up and sitting on the couches while looking out to the ocean. the perfect beach house. what a dream.
dad and dan out fishing on cape meares lake. did i mention that we ALL loved this sunny day? and we got fish for dinner which was the ideal situation
this was a cave-ish we found in ocean side. the greatest town in all of oregon. and at the end of this cave is short beach. no people, sea lions just a ways away, and rocks and cliffs. that was all. oh and waterfalls. there were waterfalls EVERYWHERE.
this is ocean side the town. so darling. it was all on a hill and then you park and its just sand sand sand. the ideal beach town.
the infamous octopus tree.... man nature made it was huge and oh so tempting to climb up into
the houses on the left, that's cape meares. all of it. the huge body of water is the pacific, the water in the far corner is tillamook bay, and the water closest and smallest it cape meares lake. so much water
one time dan thought it would be cool if a wave got him while i took a photo. cool....... but....... FREEZING. haha poor kid.
this rad crab that dan shot. it was so mad that we were bugging it but it was so neato
the beach by our house. this seagull would not move until dan got super close. it didnt look real for a while.
the first waterfall we saw. just a little baby compared to the others.
tillamook air museum. it was crazy cold in there but there were some cool facts and such. and seeing taylor in his element made it all worth it for sure.
we are tied to the ocean. and when we go back to the sea, whether it is to sail or to watch- we are going back from whence we came. John F. Kennedy.

So much fun! I'm jealous of your perfect vacation and obsessed with all of these pictures. Oh and p.s. I miss you desperately.
Sue, you should have put the pic of me standing by the P-51. And this year for spring break, one of my friends, Emma Walker to be exact, went to seaside.
