childless children

as of late i have been reading and soaking in books, articles, and stories about children all over the world. children without homes, children without families, and most importantly children who are forced to not be children at all because life forbids it.
I have grown to love these kids even though i dont know their names and they are spread all across the world. they have such a special place in my heart and i am always wondering what i can do to help them.
so one thing that i truly do want to do in my life is to go somewhere. i dont care where as long as it has a need for service, but i want to help someone out that truly needs it and that is in a position to be helped. children should not have to live lives wondering if they are going to live to teh age of ten or if they have a mommy.
how about we all try a little harder to be a little better and be an angel in someones life who may not ever get the chance to have an angel.

being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody, I think that is a much greater hunger, a much greater poverty than the person who has nothing to eat. -Mother Teresa

jaunt of a cruise

last night as i was getting ready for bed my dear friend miles wanted to chat.

so down the stairs i go not realizing i was in for the treat of my life
sometimes i feel like miles is me in a boy form.
we pretty much love all the same things, have crazy intense imaginations, andlove making plans for forever.
we just started chatting about road trips and how rocking they are and wham just like that we start planning one.
not an eccentric one, just a lovely jaunt of a cruise.
we plan it all on the inside of a cover of a book of course.
then out of nowhere this morning i get this.

dear friend miles you are invited on all my road trips! you are like a built in mapquest.

and we are just cruising idaho that is the best part.

the journey is my home. -muriel rukeyser
