ok so there i was yesterday just hanging with the roomates when we decided to go get some dinner....
we went out to go to old grist mill and on our way kinsey bless her decided that we needed to go to the temple to say our favorite memories... i thought hmmm this is odd and maybe mark will propose. So there we are at the temple and nothing was happening so in my head i am like susan you have got to stop anticipating this because its never going to happen. on our way down from the temple to the mill kins kept trying to turn left and i was so confused, but she assured me that she wanted to show me the cute little house.
I should have known the little sneak had something up her sleeve, but just minutes before i had decided to stop anticipating the situation so of course thought nothing of this detour.
we pulled into this gazebo park place and park the car and at this point i was so confused, thinking that we were looking at the back of this house. so when i looked up i saw this dude playing his guitar on a bench. I didnt think much of it until i looked back down and then it hit me. that dude was mark....... WHAT THE HECK. I wasn't anticipating this it couldnt be happening. So of course what did i do. oh yeah just sat in the car and started freaking out that mark was sitting on that bench in a suit.
once i was convinced to get out of the car, (maybe gotten over my shock or something) I dropped my purse and ran to him. literally. and this is what i looked like the majority of the time he played. appearantly i kept saying "WHAT IS THIS" and mark wanted to stop playing and be like sue its me proposing stop asking questions. the best part is this guy, after finding out what my favorite song was just last week learned it and sang it all to me. yes thank you jack johnson for writing better together so that you could be a part of our engagement. He finished the song, and oh yes i did just go attack him. I was so surprised and excited i could not even stop kissing him. He is just the sweetest most romantic man around and he even got my dear roomates to help by taking photos and recording it. LOVE IT. now we are documented for life. Once it was all said and done the girls left and we just got to have the best picnic together all night long.
the sunset photos are from after. we went up on the bench and just got to love our lives through the most colorful beautiful sunset ever! oh gosh i am the luckiest girl in the world.
love is not written on paper, for paper can be erased. nor is it etched on stone, because stone can be broken.but it is inscribed on a heart and there it shall remain forever. -unknown
